We do not sell anything. We have no funds to push and no hidden agenda – we offer unbiased advice with absolutely no conflicts of interest. Our sole motivation is to provide the solution that meets your corporate objectives and affords the participants sound investment options, asset allocation strategies and performance.
The ancient Greeks were among the first to explore the concept of the Golden Rule when Pittacus said, “Do not to your neighbor what you would take ill from him.” Sadly, the financial services industry as a whole erodes investor confidence with hidden and excessive fees, recommendations that favor the advisor over of the client, and, sometimes, outright fraud.
Trust cannot be proven and must be earned instead. As we continue to build Acropolis, we work hard to deserve your trust.
Structure As an independent firm, we chose to establish ourself as a Registered Investment Advisor, regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and serve clients in a fiduciary capacity. A fiduciary is someone that occupies a position of special knowledge and requires the highest degree of loyalty to clients and discloses any possible conflict of interest.
We have proudly served clients as a fiduciary since inception and have recently taken an extra, voluntary step by earning the CEFEX certification and designation from the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence. And, unlike many firms serving 401k plans we are proud to serve as a co-fiduciary.
Fees Acropolis serves clients on a Fee-Only basis, meaning that we never receive any compensation or incentives from a third party. We do not earn any commissions, take any soft-dollars (revenue sharing) or receive any payment for the use of any product.
Our fees are readily transparent and are listed as a line item on each quarterly statement for every participant to see clearly.
Checks & Balances Acropolis does not custody or safe-keep any assets. Assets are held by a national trust company like Charles Schwab Trust or MG Trust. In addition to separate custody, there are independent record-keepers and third-party administrators for additional protection.
